Court rules Roxbury man got a fair murder trial, will spend rest of his life behind bars

The Supreme Judicial Court ruled today that Larry Nelson was fairly convicted in 2010 of stabbing an acquaintance 20 times and that he deserved the sentence he got of life without possibility of parole.

The court's ruling details the case against Nelson for stabbing Richard Stroman repeatedly outside Stroman's apartment in 2007 and his attempt to lie his way out of the case - and to get a former girlfriend to help with the lie that his hand had been sliced by a mugger across from a mall somewhere in Cambridge or Somerville rather than by him getting too caught up in stabbing Stroman and stabbing himself.
