Good luck making a claim against the auto insurance for the actual replacement cost of an old granite post vs a new granite post at approximately 10X the price.
Depends on the homeowner's policy
The homeowner would make a claim against their own policy, so what gets paid is determined by that. Then the homeowners insurance co goes after the auto insurance co.
It kind of looks like
the car is vomiting up the old granite.
I used to bike through that area daily
There are some real bonehead drivers around there. I take the SW corridor to Cambridge now - I'd rather deal with traffic on Mass Ave than speeders and tailgating honkers (even T buses) who attempt to run me off the road.
