Silly title, with some lightweight posts. Seems that some are recycled material, too.
OTOH, he's no H.L. Carr as far as we know. That's a good thing.
I, for one, will stay tuned, hoping it gets better.
OT: And I really like a blog that Adam tipped us off on years ago, http://www.thetrialofwhiteybulger.com . Matt Connolly has branched out there quite nicely with fine commentary on an entire slate of non-Bulger topics.
Some old school Eastie types always chime in about how it was "better" with their gang of criminals. As they used to say "back in the day."Yah, I don't think so." Crime is crime, criminals are criminals, and it doesn't matter where they're from, they're a blight on a community.
The vast majority of East Boston residents back in the day had no fear of walking the streets at night. Nor did store clerks fear being shot in a robbery. There's crime and there's crime - this shouldn't be hard to figure out.
Over the past few years in Eastie I've befriended some lifelong Eastie Italians. They tell me that "newcomers here think the Latin gangs run East Boston. They don't the mob runs East Boston. They control everything." I get the identical story from different people at different times -- I believe it.
Wow. Who ever wrote this article go look in the mirror and smack yourself. Like in today world we glorify the mob from" back in the day" but ask yourself you must be the same one calling 9-1-1 today. Scared of your own shadow that why you use the internet to write your piece. Crime isn't good anywhere but when you have wannabe glorifying it make sure you punch out at 5pm and go live ur honest life

So I think Eastie would be a lot better with the mafia running things rather than the up and coming MS-13s..
The start of a book?

My mother ran Mr. Z's in Orient Heights during the mid 80s. Mr. Z was Jerry Zullo. Any questions?
