QUESTION
any suspected damage to the car?
they may be shopping for repairs
Great detective work!
I bet the cops hadn't thought of that, thanks for the help. Leave your name and number and we'll send you the $500.
HEY GENIUS
it would have been more helpful
than a blury photo.
especially to people who might be in a position
to notice someone trying to get it fixed or hiding the car altogether.
.
thanks for your opinion anyway.

Are the cops reading this forum? Because I could have sworn that the comment you were responding to was addressed to, you know, other people who might happen to notice this car.

Summoning the Great Markky to give us a farcical diatribe of how this was the fault of the pedestrian.
Bonus points if you can find a way to throw cyclists under the bus too. (Figuratively of course.)
Don't know who is at fault
All we know for sure is that the driver was wrong for not stopping. We don't know if he or the pedestrian was in the wrong for causing the accident. We don't know who had the right of way at the time of the accident, the driver or the pedestrian.
It was dark for sure. What the pedestrian was wearing wasn't disclosed. We will likely never know if the pedestrian looked both ways before crossing and/or had the walk signal, but it may be on video. All too often in hit and runs, the driver is an illegal alien and/or under the influence, or simply young and panicked.
It doesn't really matter who was at fault- the man is dead and pointing fingers won't bring him back. Wear clothing visible on dark, winter streets, and you are less likely to get killed as a pedestrian. This Christmas opt for outerwear gifts that are white and/or has reflective material, perhaps even some florescent lime green. Don't make stupid clothing choices!
"It doesn't really matter who was at fault."
I don't think that came out the way you intended. At least I hope not.
Thanks I edited it
So a sentence won't be taken out of context.
