A fire that started in the basement of 34 LaGrange St. around 9:10 p.m. quickly spread up the house to the roof and went to three alarms before being knocked down.

The Boston Fire Department reports eight people were displaced.

One resident suffered chest pains after being evacuated. Two firefighters were taken to a local hospital, one for smoke inhalation, one for a leg injury, the depatrment reports.

The department estimates damage at $500,000.

Had to go out and see the Google street view on the house just to get my bearings on it. Kind of interesting because there's a group of people standing outside. Have to wonder if they were impacted in any way in this fire.

Figured it was either an accident on "Rt 1" or a fire. I am glad everyone is safe....
