Heathcare
Well that was cute. I'd generally agree with the President on the improvements made in Commonwealth since Patrick took office except one thing: Healthcare.
Obama gave a list of things which have improved, adding "Access to healthcare has never been better". While the quality of care is just as good as it was 8 years ago, anyone who has had to go though the pain of re-subscribing to the Healthcare Connector knows the old system was much better.
I don't blame the failure of the system on Obama and I don't think Patrick is fully to blame. But the bungled roll out will forever go down as notable, perhaps unforgivable, defect in Patrick's otherwise positive tenure.
Health Connector worked pretty well for me today
The spring open enrollment was a disaster,, but the new system seems to do what it's supposed to.
Well, there is that little $750 Million budgety thing
You know, that budget shortfall, that we're looking at when he (mercifully) departs:

The Presidential call in
While I certainly don't agree with our President or our Governor on many poltical topics, this was just cool.
I smiled when I heard this and I'm sure Gov. Patrick was thrilled. I'm glad the President took the time to thank his friend, our Governor.
This was just a cool thing to do.
I just hate the thought of insufferable Egan/Braude getting giddy.
My god, the energy that some
My god, the energy that some of you invest in finding something to carp about in everything.
Not too much energy
First, it's politics, which is like sports. Second, while Patrick has some stars on his report card, some like to remind people that things are not that rosy. As someone noted above, he is leaving with a $750 million budget deficit. I will echo some of the wizards of the keyboards at the former Wingo Square when I note that Patrick made property tax relief one of his pledges, yet there has been a lot of downshifting of costs, i.e. state aid to cities and towns has been cut. Yes, to deal with the former, the latter is an option, but still, to say Patrick is leaving the Commonwealth in great shape is akin to saying that Jane Swift was a great acting Governor.
