Hyde Park man with Alzheimer's wanders away from home, found several hours later at Dudley station

A 74-year-old man who walked away from his home on Glenwood Avenue turned up safe several hours later at the Dudley T stop, after an extensive search by Boston and Transit Police that extended from the old Stop & Shop warehouse complex in Readville to the South Boston waterfront.

Transit Police found Derek Livingston, 74, around 10:40 p.m. at berth 10 of the bus station.

Livingston was wearing a LoJack device, and at one point, police picked up a signal near the Forest Hills T stop, but were unable to locate him there.
