Wicked Local Brookline reports a resident called 911 to report somebody at the door just repeatedly ringing the doorbell. When police arrived, they discovered the culprit was the resident's father (last item).
Adam, you should have put in this other gem of a Brookline-only "crime":
'Resident reported finding a pair of men’s boots in her home and said they did not belong to her husband. Police discovered the boots belonged to a dog walker.'

Really?
Maybe their doorbell should just connect directly to the police station for any future users.

Nine months from now
they'll need to get rid of the dog.
Or in 63 days
Puppies.
At least it wasn't a turkey
Oh really? We will gladly stand on doorsteps throughout greater Brookline until restitution is made and justice is done.
Passed one of your Ladies on Saturday
On Greenough St. She didn't even say hello. How rude!
You never call me! What, you
You never call me! What, you make your poor father come to the door and ring the doorbell. And then you call the POLICE! Oy!
Why is crime so different in
Why is crime so different in Brookline then anywhere else in the world?
Because special.
Because special.
Well, yeah.
Crime in Brookline is low enough that the local blotter has room for such reports.
Not really sure this is a bad thing...
SADLY FEAR....
Heard scanner reports to BPD about people going door to door under the pretense of Utility workers demanding to be let in.
The person who called 911, may know someone who had this happen, it happened to them, or they just heard about it.
Sadly, fear has become so common for some of us, because of the crime events occurring.
Sucks......
Or bad blood in the family
We don't know the whole story. Maybe the daughter has a restraining order against the father. A horrible thought, I know, but it's a possibility.
Still doesn't make sense
Wouldn't it have been reported that "an individual violating a restraining order" rather than "father was ringing the door bell"?
I have been
reading the comments lately and sad about all the attacks and vitriol. But these comments really gave me a good laugh. Thanks.
