As a person who attended high school during the mid to late 1960's, I remember DJ Dale Dorman very well. He was a neat WRKO disc jockey. I had no idea that he was that young. The fates took him away too soon.

RIP, Dale.

I remember the first time I heard his voice was on WLVI (channel 56) as he introduced the "Creature Double Feature" every weekend.

Later on, I listened to him on radio, watched on V66, and still listened on WLVI introducing other shows, even after the Creature Double Feature had been discontinued. Sad loss for Boston.

Any pictures of long-haired 'hippie' Dale Dorman? I too, remember him well from Creature Double Feature. RIP!

I went to my first concert after winning tickets from Dale Dorman. I saw him later at an event at Topsfield Fair. He was a great person.

Sorry to hear of Dale Dorman's passing. A great DJ, voiceman and an all around professional. I also give Dale credit for calling it a career six years ago, at age 65. To think that the likes of Matt Seagull, Billy Costa and other seniors are still trying to stay relevant on KISS 108, approaching 70 years of age, playing Taylor Swift, One Direction etc. and "chatting it up" with adolescent girls is rather "creepy" as the kids would say.

I remember Uncle Dale guiding me through the old 56 cartoon weekday afternoons.

Banana Splits
Yogi Bear
Casper
Mighty Mouse
Woody Woodpecker
Tom and Jerry
The Flintstones

many an afternoon wasted watching that crap.

I'm going to pour one out on the curb, listen to "Life is a Rock (But the Radio Rolled Me)" and watch "Godzilla vs. Monster Zero" in his honor.

He was a fast talker on the Radio, he had that voice, in 1978 as a kid in East Boston, everyone listened to Kiss 108 the Disco station, and Dale was one of the main forces of broadcasting disco music to the masses, I remember first seeing him walking on Porter Street in East Boston making his way to the entrance of the Lombardo's function hall , probably seeing a Disco act there, it was like seeing a hollywood movie star walking on a red carpet.

His nickname, "Uncle Dale" was given to him by listeners when he was just 21.
