Man reeking of alcohol sought for indecent attack on Arlington bike path

Man wanted in Arlington

Arlington Police report a woman walking on the Minuteman Bikeway near Summer and Mill streets around 10:30 Wednesday night was grabbed from behind and indecently assaulted.

Police describe the attacker as a white or Hispanic male, possibly in his 30s or 40s, but possibly older, with an average build, short black hair combed back and a thin mustache. The victim said he smelled of alcohol.

Police say the victim managed to escape and run away.

If he looks familiar, contact the main police number at 781-643-1212 or Inspector Brian Fennelly at 781-316-3918.

The Housing Corporation of Arlington brought serial rapist Essie Billingslea to Arlington from Long Island shelter to strike again (via his sister living in one of their apartments). The same folks who want everyone to pay higher taxes for CPA also support more halfway houses, residential and non-residential treatment facilities, and low income housing projects to Arlington, resulting in more criminals like this one attacking residents.

Such populations even make Arlington look racist - Black and Hispanic students in Arlington schools are 11 times more likely to receive out of school suspensions as white students. That's from importing trouble into Arlington, not having racist educators.

Oh, and BTW, the bike path closes at 9PM and isn't patrolled by police, so nobody should have been on the multi-use path.

Mark has been hammering the same point elsewhere earlier in the week, trying to imply that the CPA would be responsible for more rapes in town (not to mention the words he puts into the mouths of those who don't share his position, on the CPA ... yikes!). I guess that just like his contention that drivers never break the law, people who don't live in shelters never assault or rape anyone!

And OMG, brown kids are forcing Arlington to be racist! *clutches pearls, swoons* They didn't wanna be racist but they just couldn't help it when kids didn't act white!

I should be gentler with Mark, he doesn't know what actual human beings are like, he learns everything from Google.

Nah.

Most everyone breaks traffic laws - its just that motorists are unjustly singled out for enforcement by the laws and financial incentives. I share housing with an African-American and an African-Briton, while the rest of Arlington is at most 2% black. Who is calling the kettle white?

You seem to be pretty sure of where he lives.

Perhaps you should contact the police with this info?

Oh, and they close Mass Ave at 9pm and Route 2 shuts down at 10pm. So be sure you are in your driveway where you can't hurt anyone, mmmmkay?

You got off the T at Alewife after 9pm and didn't bring a car because you live nearby? No fair walking right down the path to your house ... you better walk the long way around, you lazy non-driving trash!

Markkkkk would come along in his car, or one of the drunken townies would be trying to drive home from a night at the DAV, and hit that person walking down the sidewalk.

What would Marrkkkkk say caused said accident? He would not put the blame on speeding, nor on physical impairment or alcohol impairment, but on that pedestrian daring to be outside, on the sidewalk, AND NOT BEING DRESSED LIKE A TRAFFIC CONE.

Really? You certainly have a powerful dislike for 'townies'.

I get it! They should ban everyone who has a sibling from public housing! That will show them!

The bike path shouldn't close (just like Mass Ave doesn't close) and it should be lit at night (just like Mass Ave has street lights).

The danger to pedestrians on Mass Ave in Arlington is from too little street lighting. Its almost a night and day difference driving at night from North Cambridge into Arlington. Cambridge has sufficient lighting, then its dim, insufficient lighting in Arlington. The poor street lighting in Arlington makes it all the more important that cyclists obey the law and have reflectors and front and rear lights, and that police ticket the ones who don't. Despite a far greater number of motor vehicles on the road, far fewer are wondering the streets in full darkness without any lights on.
