Your a horrible person to try to get a guy fired from his job. Such a scumbag!

... it's a lot easier to start trouble than to end it, eh?

The only information flying around is information that the guy in question has chosen to publish.

... if he found a litebrite or a pressure cooker under a cone?

I'm disgusted that these posts have gone this far. Are you seriously trying to get Dave in trouble or something? Where he works has nothing at all to do with this topic. Let's get this straight, Dave moves cones from people who feel they're entitled to a spot even if they didn't shovel it out, you don't agree with this gesture so you look through his facebook page to see what "dirt" you can stir up and then turn this into a personal attack? WOW! Are you really that offended that he refers to you as a yuppie? C'mon now, we've all been called worse. Whether you agree with someone or not, it does NOT give you the right to try to screw with their personal lives. First, his address is being broadcasted for all and now his job. Really? Ok, so he called you a few names, SO WHAT. Is that really a reason to go this far? You should be ashamed of yourself. Time to re-evaluate your life because you obviously have deeper issues that stem from some time or place much darker than this. I feel sorry for you!

One less cone in Southie isn't hurting anyone. Time to move on!!

"Whether you agree with someone or not, it does NOT give you the right to try to screw with their personal lives"

So if Dave doesn't agree with someone wearing workout clothes, or leaving their dog outside of a store...HE is allowed to screw with them, but people aren't allowed to screw with him?

The difference is that now people are infringing upon his livelihood. Taking a pic of a yuppy in lululemon spandex and boat shoes is a far cry from posting someone’s home address on the internet in retaliation, and vying for someone to lose their job. That shows pure malice. Dave would never stoop to that level of hate.

And frankly I can't imagine anyone at Citizen Connect or city hall taking it seriously. He's not going to lose his job. At the same time, this guy's a grownup, right? 40? He should probably have figured out by now that if you brag about doing dumbass sh*t on the internet and then make it into the local paper! that dumbass sh*t might just catch up with you. I'm taking all the bragging with a grain of salt and I'm sure that in many ways he's a great guy, but taking photos of strangers and posting them on FB? Untying dogs because you've decided that it's too cruel to let a pooch sit on the sidewalk for two minutes while someone grabs a cup of coffee? Sorry but what kind of creepy, busybody move is that?

Is that you "yuppies" think because you read something on Dave's page he actually did it. Do you think he took someone's dog & moved it up the street? No, he's not an animal hater so call of Peta. He doesn't hate Boston, just most of you morons that moved here, so stop wondering why he works for a City he loves. Do you always believe everything you read? Dave's post are purely entertainment to his "friends" and we enjoy them. We enjoy his crazy, harmless, morning rants about " yuppies" and everything else under the sun. I look forward to them, he make me laugh & I agree some of those matchy matchy workout clothes look ridiculous.. It's true! He makes me laugh almost as much as this newsfeed did from all of you, who are taking a simple story of someone removing "orange cones" when warranted from parking spaces - to he 's a racist, a dog hater, he was brought up wrong? C'mon He has many friends I'm sure you've all noticed while stalking his page and they are of all races, none take offense to his posts. He makes jokes, you do know what those are don't you? Last time I checked that wasn't breaking the law and /or reason to be threatening this job, wanting to meet him to discuss (which I wouldn't advise). You all need to relax. You speak about the "locals" not "townies" getting all upset in this post, yet your talking about reporting him to the city threaten his job, putting his address out there.. Was this really all that serious? Wondering was it really the cone gone missing that got you all upset or are you really upset because Dave don't want to make new friends? #sorryhehurtyourfeelings

Do you really think complaining to the city that one of its employees is an asshole is actually going to go anywhere?

I have seen your type of people all my life. Lets take pictures of the MBTA worker sleeping, lets turn in a school teacher because she took half naked modeling pic come on seriously lets screw with David Ivaska? Let me tell you something all stereotypes have some truth to them. White ppl can't dance, Asian ppl can't drive, black people are loud in the movies, ect and have we not laughed when comedians have made fun of this? Maybe even if we witness it for ourselves we had a chuckle? Have any of you "yuppies" gathered around the YouTube video of Real Housewives from Southie or whatever that stupid thing is and laughed at us? Maybe sat with your friends and joked about how Southie ppl live with the moms, teen pregnancy, heroin addictions( which I hate to admit I have done all three at one time in my life)? We that know David find him to be very entertaining! Posting about moving a yuppie dog, splashing a yuppie at the bus stop is hilarious, but let me tell you a secret he never did any of them things it was all written to get a laugh! I understand if you looked at his FB page you would be horrified LOL! Its all shock techniques to get a laugh. Even the artical was written by a Southie guy for the Globe just to get a laugh from Dave friends. He is no crusader! Ask yourself honestly how could he tell the differance between yuppie cones and Southie ppl cones? I know this guy and his heart is in the right place....most of the time :-). Look he is a good guy that has overcome many adversitys and everyday that goes by he becomes more and more an asset to the WHOLE South Boston community. He is very unselfish with his time giving back to the kids of Southie what was freely given to him. So what if he snaps pics of "Yuppies" caught in the act of being buffoons? The only thing that's being hurt is your pride so stop being so sensitive!!!!! Let me give you a rule of our neighborhood that I would like to believe extends to most neighborhoods dont ever try to get one of your neighbors fired that is a scumbag douche move for even a "yuppie"! Look the next time you see Dave Ivaska (the dumb Lithuania) go up to him and give him a wet Willy so he catches YUPPIE KOODIES! Laugh its all in good fun....

is what everyone says when they get called out for saying and doing things that their friends think are funny but everyone else thinks makes them looks like an asshole. I have to say, that smells like a fish story to me.

There's no way to defend mocking Chinese-Americans for how they speak as cute satire. Repeatedly posting photos of strangers and mocking their clothing, bragging about messing with them on the street? I'm having a hard time seeing the good-natured fun in that. If anybody said anything as racist and disgusting as some of Dave's Facebook friends did, I sure wouldn't let it sit there for three years without a comment: I'd delete it and privately give them hell for it. Silence gives assent to that kind of behavior, especially when you have control over what stays on your page.

Again, it comes down to the difference between talking shit about people in your own little group, and being aggressively insulting to people you consider outsiders. One is just taking the mick; the other is being at best an insecure douche, at worst a playground bully picking on the new kid. Maybe Dave is an innocent lamb who's just misunderstood. To quote Dean from Dean's Furniture, "I doubt it."

Chris D is the one who was going on and on about how your whole shtick is a joke, done for laughs, just made up. I said, "I doubt it", and I don't think anyone else is buying his fish story, either.

On the one hand "hey--can't you people take a joke? He would never really turn someone's dog loose or act like a yahoo IRL" and then we get the fella himself--a grown man, allegedly--pissed off because some anonymous guy who got in an argument with him on the Internet won't show up to meet him in a bar to settle things? Seriously--make up your mind.

Apples and oranges. An MBTA worker sleeping on the job is collecting pay for time not working, and is ripping off the public and needs to be disciplined. On the other hand, a school teacher posing for racy pictures or David Ivaska being an ass on Facebook are doing nothing that violates the terms of their employment.

What the eff are you talking about? I'm the guy pointing out that Dave Ivaska hasn't done anything to warrant complaining to his employer.

Cram it.

The moral of the story is that people need to learn to respect others. I am a born and raised, Southie girl through and through, a girl who loves her town and is self admittedly, reminiscient of the days that are clearly behind us. But I am also not just a "townie" as some like to call me - I come from a great family who was owned and lived in Southie for the past century, hard workers who value not only their neighborhoods but their neighbors as well. I work in a place filled with great people who now live in the town that I love. Am I bummed that I can't really afford it because the rents have sky-rocketed? Sure. But I am also aware that many locals were also the ones who sold their houses to retire, move to a better school system, gain the advantage of having both a front and a back lawn (shocker!). New development ensued, new people arrived and new grudges developed. Every story has two sides. I am occasionally guilty of ragging on the newcomers - and I know that they are equally as guilty for ragging on me. But who can blame anyone for moving to God's Country?! It's beautiful - beaches, parks, lovely streets, 5 minutes from downtown. It might just be one of the greatest parts of the city. And we locals have known that all along. The time has come for people to adjust to the new Southie, old and new joined together. Newbies -don't rag on the locals for feeling a sense of pride and comfort in the neighborhood they grew up. Locals - don't hate a newcomer just for being a newcomer. Just like I am not a poor, uneducated kid, they may be not be a rich, entitled trust fund baby. It's time for everyone to act like grown ups and start to understand and respect our neighbors - all of them. Isn't it time that we just all got along??

I totally agree with what Dave is doing. I've wanted to do this for a long time, although I disagree with the opinion that its just the young people doing it. People have abused this for years but it wasn't such a big deal because parking wasn't at such a premium. I remember people running out with their cones on broadway after the snow emergency was lifted. Its nothing new its just magnified and the selfish idiots that abuse it will ruin it for all. I never understood the venom towards the young people that move here they work and pay taxes whats so bad about that. I feel bad for the people that got priced out but the facts are most people left looking for greener pastures and found out the grass isn,t always greener on the other side. For me I'm happy right where I am although it would be nice if more families could live here. You can thank your local developers and politicians for that not yuppies.

Did you guys do all this research while you were supposed to be working? I mean thats why you reported dave to city hall, and probably sent the pic of the guy sleeping at the T and the one doing the soduku puzzle. Stop hiding behind a keep board.

Wow this got heated. The fact that someone is trying to get me fired but logs on as anonymous is comical and cowardly.

I appreciate all the support but let's get one thing straight. Whoever is posting my address online is fine but let it be known that children live at that address.
Also the fact that you actually went on my FB PAGE for "dirt" makes me wish I saved All the pics of the baffoonery for you to see.
And another thing. The coward who wanted to meet for eggs never showed up so he ows me $2.99. I don't take Debit so your screwed.

If any of you baffoons would like to step up. I will be down the skating rink Monday at 5:00. But I warn you, if you show up with anything Salmon on your pic will be posted on FB.

OH ANOTHER THING for the ANONYMOUS yuppie saying I should move away from home and my mother did a bad job raising me. She actually lives upstairs but I do take her food sometimes. Even better she doesn't charge me $3000 a month.. that's a good mom. .

Great discussion but its about to snow so I gotta start the clock. (Key Jaws Theme)

To the bro who found the Infamous cano trip article and posted it. We thank you. My friends got a kick out of it. We had a great weekend. Wait, are you from Waltham and looking for revenge?

I remember that trip. I was one of the 2 guys who were being pushed around by the 6 or 7 "victims' and I was like guys, we got like 10 canoes coming behind us. So lets just part ways and nobody will get hurt. Well, they didnt believe me and they ended up getting what was coming to them. Good times... I also remember that the wrong Southie kids got arrested that day. Me being one of them. Because the cops chose who they arrested by asking the kids as we walked up from the canoes by picking random faces who they thought they remembered as the ones they got beat down by. Me being one of them. (I didnt throw one punch) And david Ivaska being another, probably chosen because of his strikingly good looks. Thanks for the memories random poster
