They are relentless. We have one on the golf course where I play that attacks people within 100 feet of "his" pond. (recently learned - you need a second person there and he stays away - but he'll take you on one on one).

When I was at Appleton Farms on Monday I got intensely dive bombed by wing groups of furious swallows.

You can practically feel their wing tips touch.

Raptor mobbing is ongoing only with more urgent fury.

The really small birds like chickadees and warblers are relying on stealth.

It isn't one little bird or even one species of little bird that will make a hawk's day miserable - it is groups of birds from different species working together.

Perhaps the Hawks need some all-day talk radio blather to get the little birds to attack each other, instead.

It's nice to see that your foaming hatred of people with contrarian ideology to yours merits disparaging comments in totally unrelated topics.

over Allston. I'd look out the window and see a red-tailed hawk being chased by about 10 smaller birds of undetermined species.

Reminds me of that kids' book "Swimmy," where all the little fish get into formation as a big fish and attack a shark.
