Such a tassel: Winners of New Year's Eve burlesque tickets picked

The entries for the question "Why I deserve two tickets to see burlesque on New Year's Eve, in 25 words or less," were all good and it was really hard to pick winners, but here are the two folks who won two tickets to the Boston Babydolls' New Year's Eve shows:

A:

I am a survivor of domestic violence and single mother of 2 kids, one a result of rape. I haven't had time to myself or peace of mind since he won trial due to lack of evidence.

Ellen:

Fan of Babydolls.
Aerialist in training
Awesome date idea.

Here are all the entries (tickets are still available, at the link above):

My friend and I love dancing showgirls. She's moving to Africa in May; won't be able to see them tassle & twirl for much longer!

Because I'm a gay guy who loves the artistic value of the female body, and can appreciate it without acting like a horned-up teenage boy

My wife & I both spent much of 2014 unemployed, so we haven't gone out much together. Newly employed, help us ring in 2015 in style!

To have a night out with my boyfriend of 5 years, and propose to him in a special way, cuz he would never ask me.

My first burlesque in Manhattan: A gaunt, hairy, naked man served P&J sandwiches proffered at crotch-level. Please help me un-see this.

Old married people
Need adult entertainment
More than the young'uns

I am always the first to defend any woman's right to strip, dance, sing, and entertain me on stage. The Puritans were all fools.

Have never seen you perform and will be getting back from repressive WASP family Christmas the week before.

The shows are on my birthday! Also I have a strong inner desire to join burlesque. I'm quiet but secretly pretty fiesty.

Never been to any concert and I love to bring my future wife

I have donated my time to shooting burlesque troupes to highlight the artistry of the performers. I'd love to watch a performance without my camera

Mmmmm, I don't get out much, it's a few days away from my birthday , and I have never won anything in a contest before !

I am proud to say that this year I survived a divorce and my 19th surgery. At the end of January I'm heading back to school in order to finish my undergraduate degree. Burlesque on New Year's would be a great way to celebrate this year and rejuvenate for the next!

Because I am your FAVORITE 'try-to-drive-you-crazy-ers' and I make you laugh despite your best efforts not to

I would love to see this show and actually have plans on New Years eve for the first year in my life! I usually just spend it on my own but I think it should be spent with good friends and good people doing something magical. That is how a new year should be welcomed in.

The new girlfriend is practicing for a burlesque show, but is a bit shy. I’d like to show her the professional performance to encourage her!

Because my girlfriend is underpaid and has student loans to pay off and I'm a broke law student. A night out would be nice.

Love the Babydolls! Everyone should go, and I will envy you as I spend New Year's in rural NC.
