Tommy Doyle’s in Kendall Square Abruptly Shuttered for Good: ‘Blame the Owner

Tommy Doyle’s, a Kendall Square staple since 2002, is closing forever, according to a sign posted outside the Irish pub and restaurant. The staff reportedly held a farewell party after being notified earlier in the day that the bar would be shuttered after Wednesday night:

And...
...nothing of value was lost.
The food was barely mediocre. The bar selection was just above crap. The decor was extremely tired and dated. The service was usually pretty good and so I feel bad for the staff.
Hopefully something good moves that way.
