Would removing crossing grates railroad crossings help in your goal, because people have gotten lazy about watching for trains because of gates, bells, and lights that go off when a train approaches? Or, perhaps crossing gates, bells, and flashing lights are needed along the green line to be more consistent with other rail crossings?
