Can anything be done to stop Brookline's downward spiral?

Wicked Local Brookline reports that late one recent night, a resident dialed 911 to report "a group of people playing badminton."

The top four stories confirm Brookline's place as one of the worst cities in the US:

No bite: A Brook Street resident complained of a dog that barks all day.

Car break-in: On Goodnough Road, a resident reported that someone got into his Volvo wagon, took some change and left the door ajar.

Dogged: At 12:10 p.m., a caller reported a crying dog left in a Subaru Outback on Claflin Road. Since 8:30 a.m., the vehicle had a note on it that said the driver would be back in 15 minutes. Police said it checked out O.K.

Untidy: A Rawson Road resident reported that a contractor working next door left equipment on his/her property, and did not keep the site “in good order.”

"At 5:55 p.m., a caller reported a white man in his mid-30s, with a light brown hair and beard, red pants and a red jacket, walking barefoot down Davis Avenue carrying his boots. The caller said the man wasn’t acting suspicious, but she was told to report anyone who looked “odd or out of place” due to recent break-ins."

You know a downward spiral is essentially a chain reaction? One thing begets the next. A being has a weakness, they're flawed. That flaw leads to guilt. The guilt leads to shame. Their shame compensates with pride and vanity. And when pride fails, despair takes over and leads to their destruction. It will become their fate... Somebody's gotta stop the flow.
