Citizen complaint of the day: At least put some effort into it

Snow cone in South Boston

A concerned citizen kvetches about a snow cone on E Street between W. 7 and Tudor streets in South Boston this morning:

Some idiot has already started with a space saver. Please remove.

The city reports the issue has been "resolved."

Meanwhile, the city responded to this complaint from Elm Street in Dorchester about somebody shoveling snow into the street by sending out an inspector, who wrote a ticket.

Real yuppies have garage spots in their condo building. If you park on the street you are not a yuppie.

Sorry, but I hate snow. Love winter, but hate snow.

I like it when there's just enough snow to make things look pretty, but I admittedly hate it when we get excessive amounts of snow, and driving in rush-hour in it can be pretty hairy at times, if y'all know what I mean.

This is a huge part of why I moved to the burbs. Love snow, love the city, but hate the city in the snow.

Please, there isn't enogh snow to save spots. This person is just ridiculous!!! I'm a firm believer of " if you shovel large amounts of snow then you can save the spot for a few days. Take It Out!

How does that actually work? Where do the people who weren't lucky enough to find an on-street space before the storm park, until "a few days" are over, and we go back to sharing spaces?

...to charge market rate for parking permits.

These freeloaders looking for government hand-me-outs should start paying!! This form of welfare is disgusting.

Parking permits are free like they should be. And so what if I own more than one vehicle? People have been parking on the streets of Boston longer than any of you transplants have even been born.get a job, buy a car and see what it's like.

You could get a better job and save up for a place with a driveway.

How do you figure that our government should be renting out our land for $0.00 for private individuals to store their cars?

Parking permits are free like they should be?

Why do you think they should be free? Because they have been all along?
