One already there, at the World Trade Center (Commonwealth Pier to us older folks) - another one further down by Channel Street.

....before most of the ugly ass buildings even went up. Served conventioneers at the WTC and people taking harbor cruises. Coffee still sucks and donuts better served as door mice, but it's been there a while.

How many hours do we have to wait for the announcement that Walgreens will be opening up across the street?

On a side note, I noticed the Walgreen's in the base of the S.S. Pierce building in Coolidge Corner is now gone. Maybe it is in order to move to the waterfront? There were actually a number of commercial vacancies in that area I noticed today, but that was the most prominent one.

always makes me feel as if curling irons and boxes of Depends are going to start tumbling down on my head in the aisles--everything is always so overstuffed and stacked high. But yeah--there's the cvs across the street and one more down past the theatre so this always seemed like overload, even in a neighborhood full of geriatrics. What could go in there though?

I will be surprised if they open another so close. I think a Trader Joe's will be a better option.

I will have to constantly remind myself next time I'm down shopping for razors there that I'm not, in fact, in Renaissance Florence

Yes, this area was uncivilized.

Do you really need all those CVS stores a block or two apart in Downtown Crossing? Close one of them and move it to Kendall Square, please.
