Commuter rail back to normal - including the delays

Keolis officials were at North Station this morning thanking commuters for their patience as the company restored all the trains it lost in the snows of February.

Probably just as well they weren't at South Station, where commuters were reporting delays and cancellations on the Providence Line:

Crazy - I'm now an hour and 15 mins behind sched. They cancelled the 6:42 and next train was late, too.

Who refused to answer any question and claimed anything and everything was anecdotal.

I'll take a volunteer panel of people with expertise in related fields instead of the usual nation wide search finding a friend of a cousin of a donor that then got paid 600k as a consultant for a report which was never publicized let alone read.

Well, at least things are back to "normal".

Now, on to figuring out if I should get a 10 ride or a monthly pass....

One of my gripes with the Commuter Rail fare scheme is that the only discount option is a monthly. A 10-trip provides no discount.

Other commuter railroads offer weekly passes and discounted 10-trips.

Some people have a car and need to drive some days, but are able to take the train part of the time. We shouldn't discourage them from taking the train with high prices.

Hmm, would it distress the authorities if someone started a pass-sharing website -- a "zipcar" for T passes?

The closest thing we have is buying passes on Craigslist. But the very few scammers there ruin things for all the legitimate sellers (people whose commutes change in the middle of the month, etc).
