Nova Scotia
If you have never been to Nova Scotia I highly recommend it. The people are fantastic, the province is beautiful, and they sure could use the tourism.

Stunningly beautiful part of the world. One of the best vacations I ever took was a lengthy trip around the Maritimes: from St. Andrews in New Brunswick to Dunvegan on Cape Breton Island to Antigonish in Nova Scotia (for the Highland Games!) and then back to St. Andrews. 10/10, would recommend!

That was the tree for Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. There's another one in Post Office Square, I think.
The tree from Nova Scotia goes on Boston Common.
I love this tradition.
I would be tempted to absolve them of any sense of indebtedness remaining from the Halifax explosion, after they offered us any help they could (and then donated 50 grand to Children's) after the Marathon bombing. I'm glad they still give us a tree, though. One of these days, I'm going to visit NS and buy a round for the house in a bar somewhere.
How much is this costing them every year?
I don't want to be imposing upon some Canadians who are too polite to say anything.
