Dark clouds over Forest Hills

Erica Mattison watched some clouds that obviously mean business roll over what used to be the Casey Overpass in Forest Hills around 3:40 p.m.

That's a great picture, however it would be even better with
sad Hipsters exclaiming the chopping down of the Casey.
I don't think there are any sad hipsters.
Having gone to several Casey meetings, the pro-bridge folk were mostly older JP types. It was a hard to classify crowd but it was definitely not a hipsters vs old folks thing or town v gown or anything. If anything it seemed as if the younger bike-and-walk folks (Jeff Ferris aside) who were happy to see a new design. And I think a vast majority have been astonished by how the area feels opened up, even with the chaos of demolition still going on. The views in every direction are pretty amazing.

traffic is down (water has found its own level) and the the big sky is pretty nice.
