Development with supermarket in front of the Garden gets initial design OK

NorthEndWaterfront.com reports the Boston Civic Design Commission has approved the $258-million first building in a proposed mixed-use development on what is now a parking lot in front of the Boston Garden's blank front wall.
The first building would include, among other things, a Star Market. Later parts of what would be a $1-billion project will include residential and office towers.

Bowling alley!
A bowling alley that is accessible on the Orange Line (assuming there still is a public transportation system) is a fantastic idea. Hopefully they will have candlepin bowling. I will be there with my bowling balls. The lanes in Dot. But if you don't live in Dot and don't have a car then getting there is a schlep especially on a weeknight. The shuttle (assuming it still runs) was inconsistent (and not even run by the T!). Time to shop for new bowling shirts!
The massive building rising in the Seaport is to get a King's bowling alley. Is there a bowling renassaince? One of the best games for friends and family to play and enjoy a night out.
It wouldn't be the only T accessible alley
Lanes and Games in Cambridge is a relatively short walk from Alewife Station. And the one in Davis Square.

In front of Garden
I wondered what they were digging for. I thought it'd be cooler if they somehow made a grand entrance to the Garden facing Causeway Street. A promenade (indoor or outdoor) that led up and inside. With storefronts facing it. Instead of sending them in through what is a basement and an already crowded train station.
For now I guess the "entrance" remains a side door around back.
Canal St
I believe when everything is done the main entrance will be at Canal St, not the side of the Garden.
The picture at the top of this article illustrates where it will be. I guess that is what the fight is about. Getting a better entrance on Causeway at Canal.
