Don't be alarmed by military helicopters you see zooming around today

There's a national conference of Medal of Honor recipients in Boston this week, and today Black Hawk helicopters will ferry some of the honorees to local high schools, the Massachusetts Emergency Managment Agency informs us. Apparently, this includes a helicopter landing on the Common at 11.

They're going to shut down several roads in downtown, for a few hours, on a workday.

So yes, I'm going to complain about the absurdly unnecessary inconvenience

Boston ain't in Texas. I haven't heard anybody (yet) say it is part of Obama's big power grab/takeover.

I was on the Longfellow when this all started - we wondered if we were under attack. Nothing like 5 Blackhawks close enough to see their bellies with good detail to make for an exciting morning on the job site!
