Fenway Jerry Remy's to re-open after mysterious shutdown

The Herald reports the owner of the Remy's franchise on the waterfront will reopen the shuttered Fenway Remy's in time for opening day - and is planning things such as businesspeople's lunch specials to fill the place during the 284 days a year the Sox don't play at home.

I got a kick out of the end of that article listing all of the Cronin Group properties. That is a murderer's row of godawful restaurants and bars.

I doubt you thought of it at the time but your choice of words is in poor taste given the Remmy name.

I like the Seaport Remy's for its location. It is one of the best in the city during the summer. The food is junk however.

But they are pretty smart guys. They grew out of one location (The Beer Garden if I am correct) in Southie back around 94'. They have grown the company substantially over the years and employ about 1000 people.

Their places are popular.

The Boston beer garden was fine in the mid 90s. The Boston food scene has come a long way in the last 20 years.

Both Remy's are terrible. I propose that instead of this, they both just close instead.

Ron Jeremy > Jerry Remmy

No connection except the alliteration.
Well, that and that big ol' frank that each has on their menu.
