Probably for the best if this cat never makes it back. ::le sigh::

'cuz he was spied in the kitchen sink, not an approved location

Oh please. Ears perked, fur down, tail at rest... I see this exact "guilty" look all the time from my rescue kitties, against whom I've never raised a hand and never will.

The worst thing that ever happens to them is the sneezy-weasel who gets saline squirted up her nose when a $200 humidifier isn't doing the trick for her chronic kennel cough, or an occasional butt-bath for the gentleman with the extremely delicate stomach who actually enjoys water anyway.

But clearly any time a cat's eyes dilate - usually because they're in crazy playtime mode - it's a sign of abuse and I should give them right back to the hoarding houses where they came from. Yep.

You've never had a cat.

Pallas' cats are indeed the best! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=soBYeKyUIPU

We can only hope a domesticated lookalike will turn up one day, a la ocecats, because the real things are definitely wild and do not want all the human snuggles I wish to inflict. :(
