Giant Slurpees attack Nantucket!

Or at least that's the way this Italian media outlet decided to describe one of the consequences of our arctic temps--

Translation: In America, it is so cold that the ocean is freezing. On the island of Nantucket, offshore from Boston, the waves have taken on the consistency of a gigantic, moving Italian ice.

The photographer, Jonathan Nimerfroh was walking along the beach when he saw the waves turn into a gigantic "Slurpee", a saltwater slush. He began taking shots which he then shared with meteorologist, Eric Fisher.
