Glad things didn't begin falling apart until after I arrived downtown.

Glad you didn't know things were already falling apart, until after you arrived downtown.

Much like this past winter's MBTApocalypse, what we're witnessing here are long, long-standing problems finally becoming blatantly evident in a manner that they can't be ignored anymore. (Of course, the will though.)

Friday rush hour. Sox at home. Nary an inbound train to be found at Kenmore...not just B Line but ANY line...for 10 minures and counting.

So who f*cked thus up, infrastructure-wise? State? City? MDC? All?

MassDOT presented plans that this section of the bridge would be replaced in August 2016.

"During construction in 2016, the westbound part of Commonwealth Avenue will remain open for pedestrians and bicyclists. The Green Line would be replaced by shuttle buses, likely between Packard’s Corner and Kenmore Square"

The other half of the bridge would be replaced in August 2017
