Hundreds march on Martin Luther King Day

Marchers on Arlington Street

Hundreds of people peacefully marched around the Common and Public Garden this afternoon before marching up Beacon Street for a protest in front of the State House.

Comments

On the way back from this march, I thought long and hard about comments and decided that, for this post, to turn them off.

Based on the discussion on the Google-doodle post, I think we've gotten to the point where there's little in the way of serious discussion going on - just angry people shouting at each other, and repeating the same exact things they've already yelled at each other several times over the past few weeks.

You know where you stand on the issues a march such as this raises, nobody is going to change your mind, and, to be perfectly honest, I'm tired of pouring through large reams of anonymous comments I'm not going to publish anyway.
