It's a trip to Bridgewater for man accused of hanging around hospital helipad with armor, weapons, ammo

A Boston Municipal Court judge set bail at $500,000 - double what prosecutors had asked for - for Brad Clarke, 41, of Pelham, NH, related to his arrest Saturday at a Boston Medical Center helipad, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.

Judge Michael Coyne also ordered Clarke sent to Bridgewater for a mental-health evaluation, the DA's office reports.

Clarke was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm as a second offense, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawfully carrying a loaded firearm, carrying a firearm on school grounds, use of body armor during the commission of a felony, carrying a dangerous weapon (nunchuks) and possession of a Class D substance with intent to distribute.
