JP pocket sandwich place seeks beer and wine license

Aurum, which sells calzone-like sandwiches in Hyde Square, goes before the Boston Licensing Board next week seeking a beer-and-wine license.

The 377A Centre St. eatery, now open until 9 p.m., is also seeking a midnight closing time.

The board's hearings begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday in its eighth-floor hearing room in City Hall.

I hope they get the license but its tough to beat getting take out from Aurum and bringing it across the street to Brendan Behan where they have no food but a full liquor license and 30 beers on tap.
