Officers observed and recovered a loaded Raven .25 caliber silver handgun from the dashboard of Crawford's vehicle and later retrieved twelve bags of what appeared to be cocaine that Crawford is alleged to have discarded.

Police say Crawford's windows were shot out in an incident around 7:45 p.m. at Hancock and Trull streets, which sent another man to the hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

Police say gang-unit officers on patrol in the area heard the gunfire:

As officers arrived on scene they observed a black sedan with the windows shot out fleeing the scene. Officers pursued the vehicle from a safe distance while maintaining visual contact until it crashed into a telephone pole near 38 Dacia Street.

Police add:

Officers recovered multiple 9mm spent shell casings in front of 77 Hancock Street which were also related to this incident.

Crawford was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of ammunition, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and operating a motor vehicle after suspension.

Innocent, etc.

I mean, sure, Freddie Gray didn't have any illeg drugs or guns on him, and apparently was just harassed by the cops, but otherwise your point is spot-on and represents the most elevated of racial demagoguery.

"Racist? Where did I say anything about race? You're the real racist for..." I know, I know, please shut up.

What does this have to do with Freddie Gray? At all..... Clearly there is a big issue w/ Baltimore PD. He looked to be in rough shape before he was even put in the van.
A letter was written or submitted yesterday regarding BPD to the DOJ. Baltimore is not Boston.

Was well-known to the police, with a mile-long rap sheet. Wouldn't you want cops to check on known criminals, as in do their job? And if a known criminal runs from a cop after making eye contact, wouldn't anyone with a functional brain assume he had a gun and/or drugs on him?
