Snow-covered car

Ryan Ohnesian snapped a car whose driver just couldn't with the snow today.

I suppose you think he should be checking his rear view mirror, using turn signals, yielding at rotaries, and not passing on the right on city streets, too. Not this guy: he knows that in MA, those are signs of weakness that will get you culled from the herd.

Will get you culled from the herd faster

You were being sarcastic? I couldn't tell. I really thought your analysis of culling the herd was based on the scientific method. and peer reviewed for accuracy. Thanks for enlightening us. You are one sarcastic fellow, or lady, or transgender, as the case may be. Little old me couldn't figure out that you were being sarcastic until you sarcastically mentioned your sarcasm meter. Thank you so much. You are one special Masshole. And no needs a detector to figure that out.

Everyone misses a joke once in a while. Most people don't feel the need to respond when this is pointed out, certainly not for a whole butt-hurt paragraph.

I cant get enough of this snow shaming. I only wish that the name, photo, address and phone number of the perp was also included. These are the worst kind of Massholes

The woman in front of me in Dorchester this morning cleared only the drivers side front windshield. All four side windows, the back window, and the passenger side front windshield were covered in snow. Really, wtf?

I had to take two swipes with my mitten - TWO SWIPES - to clear my rear window!!!!

I nearly collapsed from the effort. Next time, I'll know to use my wiper!

(/snark)

Yes and there will still be a notable minority of posters to UHub who will be quick to blame anyone hit by a car for "not being visible".

Nice that the plate is cleared nicely.

20 crisp new American dollars says the plate was on the leeward side of the car... something tells me this fine specimen of humanity isn't too worried about following traffic code.

20 crisp new American dollars says you're using a pretty unorthodox definition of the word "leeward". It means "downwind".

if the rear end license plate was leeward/downwind, it wouldn't have picked up any snow as it fell. because of the wind.

Why would any driver possibly care about what's happening *behind* them?

Front windshield wipers, horn: go!

Yea so pointless having read windows in automobiles. Especially since that model car doesn't have reverse, only drive and park.

the first rule of Italian driving (snaps off rear view mirror from windshield). What's behind you is not important.

CT made this a ticket-able offense a year or two back after someone didn't clear the ice & snow after a big storm and the sheet of ice slid off & injured/killed someone...

Maybe Massachusetts should follow suit and do likewise.

SP will occasionally issue warnings "We're gonna ticket!" Not sure how many they actually issue. I lost a windshield to frozen slush flying off a semi-trailer (when passing, not tailgating), called SP with plate but they weren't particularly interested.

Chapter 90 Section 13. No person, when operating a motor vehicle, shall permit to be on or in the vehicle or on or about his person anything which may interfere with or impede the proper operation of the vehicle.

I believe it's still only a $35 fine for the first offense but does carry the insurance surcharge. 90/13 covers a number of things, including "dog on lap" of the operator and any other type of impeded operation.

I'm sure the state and local police will get right on that.

saw a state trooper pulled over on 128 in Waltham this evening. In front of him was a driver of a Honda Pilot clearing the snow off of his roof with a brush. Don't know if the driver also got a ticket.

The plate looks maroon to me. That is not a Massachusetts registered car. Likely one of those that come to work and live here, but choose not to change their address........

Just a newer MA plate. Same color/config as the one I got in July.

At least it is right side up!
