Glad to see there are still some non-inline-roller-skates out there.

It was a great event, with perfect weather! Most people were just dancing, though there were a lot of skaters too.

I only wish they played more Donna Summer music. It was mostly Disco music by other artists. A shame, because there are dozens and dozens of fabulous, danceable Donna Summer songs. They all weren't her biggest hits, but they're still worth playing and dancing to. I think the crowd would have enjoyed hearing a wider variety of Donna Summer music, perhaps some songs they may not even have heard before!

The DJ needs to be of the disco era. Lets hope they can make the switch for next year.
We agree that the music was disappointing...we left as hardly any Donna Summer was played..
Not even I feel love! The DJ's were not of the disco era..and inexperienced.
We can only hope that they ask DJ MaryAlice next year. She knows what to play.

Loved the event - but next year perhaps they could have more than 1 portapotty for 4,000 people...

Maybe, just maybe, if city hall is going to have these events they could install those trailers with large bank of restrooms open for the summer months?

Just imagine!

Don't you know they need as much room as possible for city workers to park their cars on the plaza?

This is a great event to remember Donna Summer - but whoever DJs needs to keep it real. Too many obscure songs/extended instrumentals (sure, they are "funk/soul/disco") but people are there to hear a little more Donna and dance to the versions as we remember them. Last year as well, the DJ used effects that distort the music or loop certain long notes on and on, and really throws off the groove. Last year some people just stopped dancing. This year again many complained about not enough Donna. Playing other disco hits along w/Donna is great but the DJ should play the original versions and stop "remixing" along the way - these classic dance songs don't need any updates.
But I hope to see this event continue each year. It really was a fantastic time!
Young and old - a real friendly, fun crowd. See you all next year! J
