the guy's lawyer is claiming that's not what he said. And actually told the arraingment judge "hey, what's the big deal here?"

But hauling somebody off of a plane because they mention 'bomb' when handling luggage is not an unreasonable response. Plus, I have little sympathy for defense lawyers who use excuses like "he was just joking" or "perhaps he used the wrong words."
