I would like to see most fire departments, and Massport Fire-Rescue in particular, doing very little, thanks.

Actually, Massport Fire - make that ALL fire departments, don't get paid for what they "do"...they get paid for what they train and prepare to (hopefully) NEVER have to do...Walk through the North End on a nice night in the summer and you see all the firefighters "hanging around doing nothing" outside the Hanover Street Firehouse, checking out the girls as they pass by...Wow, paid to "do nothing"!!....
Or walk down Boylston and you see the same thing at that Firehouse. Damn, they seem to be "doing nothing" when you walk by also...Just like Firefighter Kennedy and Lieutenant Walsh were "doing nothing" that day in 2014 when they heard the alarm sound and boarded the truck for a short ride over to Beacon Street and....

Y'know, I'm sure your job is "wicked important" though, right? You "do a lot" on your job, unlike the firefighters at Massport (And everywhere else)....Right??... and every time you leave your house, you say goodbye to your wife and your kids, or your loved ones, whatever as you head out the door...not knowing if today is the "God forbid" day...(as in the last day they ever see you walk through that door again...ever). Yeah, I'm sure you "do something" on your job, unlike these firefighters who "do nothing" all day, Right??

What a total assh*ole comment. You're a total and complete Jackass.

One of my coworkers retired from the State and he had a bologna and cheese sandwich for lunch.
