Squantum snow still survives: Squalid, stupefying

Squantum snow pile

Why should the South Boston snow pile get all the publicity? Lee Toma visited the Squantum Point snow pile today:

It is still twelve feet tall! Also, so disgusting.

Or is that just all the dreck left behind after all the snow melted?

As the pile recedes the crap layer thickens.

Along Granite Ave, just before the Neponset River/Dorchester line. On a DOT lot, I think.

No pics cause I go by on a bus at 50 miles/hour.

It is pretty high and yucky looking. But it's wet all around, so I'm guessing there's still snow underneath.

Dumped it in the ocean and you would not be hearing from any of these snow obsessed people today.

How, exactly, would that make the problem go away? That stuff doesn't belong in the ocean, either - and this is precisely why there is a prohibition on doing so.

Or are you just one of those special people who think that flinging things more than three feet from your body - or out your car window - magically makes garbage go away?

Should have dumped that into Boston harbor or a local river.
