Truly a sad, sad scene.
The funeral home where the wake was held yesterday is at the end of my street. It was a four-plus hour procession of crying parents in their 50s and young adults 15-21. At one point, the line to get into the funeral home stretched for well over a hundred yards down Washington St. There were cars parked on all of the side streets bearing plates from all over the East Coast and Midwest.
It was horrendous. All that I could do was hug my 2 year old. I pray everyday that whatever might happen to me, I should never have to endure what his parents are enduring.
