Marblehead Police report they were a flyover procession for the funeral of Kenneth L. Robinson Jr., a retired Marine Corps major general.

Shook the house here in Readville. Were they Sea Stallions?

These three helicopters flew over Jamaica Plain. They were in formation. Two side by side and one in the rear. I clean a church in JP. It was in the morning. Not sure exact time. My wife heard and saw them in Roslindale.... so they must have been headed up to Marblehead. I can't imagine where they originated from. Its not every day ... That you see and hear such massive copters over Boston. The Retiring Marine General must have been well regarded. I thank him for his service to this country.

Happened to notice 3 choppers at a distance, somewhere around 1:30ish, maybe Mansfield area, or more south. They were a ways away, but you couldn't miss them, heading SW.

In between 8 Saturday night and midnight, 1 Blackhawk(almost as audible as an old Huey) came in low from the north along 93. As it crossed the Charles I saw something funny several helicopter lengths in front of it that was barely visible and at the same speed. My jaw dropped, I came to all kinds of silly conclusions. Then I saw that it was the silhouette of a Blackhawk, making it 2. An aircraft at that height with ZERO lights on, in the smack of several Logan flightpaths is incredibly dangerous. I was under the impression that the military was subject to FAA regulations unless at war? Either the unlit Blackhawk had electrical issues(doubt it), the other two options are that it was a test of some kind(maybe the new super-quiet engine has reached the NG) or that it was a stupid stunt. I've never, ever seen an aircraft without a single light on fly over, ever. These helicopters were in close formation. Also, it was like only one was making noise, the one that was lit normally. Anyway, kind of exciting since we barely have any military air presence here anymore. So far I have not yet read anyone witnessing what I saw. Earlier in the week I saw a Blackhawk with side tanks flying by itself over the Zakim. MGH helicopters are making a racket at that distance, if I hadn't turned around would have never known it was there. Assuming we have the new engine. What I saw Saturday must have been a test of it's capabilities(since Boston is notorious for residents complaining about aircraft noise that the airport has to change flight paths each day if possible to spread out the noise. They even have a website to complain about specific aircraft(including a space for what airliner it was). Bottom line: 2 Blackhawks in formation following 93 north to south. The lead had NO LIGHTS.

The FAA only required the trail aircraft to be,lit if the flight is a formation!
