Beefy birds beguile Back Bay

Judith Rust spotted her first Back Bay turkeys this morning, on Comm. Ave. Patty reports seeing them strutting down Mass. Ave. - and that nobody ran them over. Joe Dunne photographed them on Marlborough Street.

Turkeys in the straw. Or mulch
The invasion of the turkeys continues. They have been spotted in Savin Hill, Fields Corner and Neponset Ave. Their domination of the Ashmont end of the Red Line is at its halfway point! Shawmut residents,you may be next!
THERE IS A FLOCK
of turkeys that meanders around my neighborhood in Mattapan/Lower Mills all the time. I have run up to them several times and not been charged or anything, they are actually kind of skiddish. I like seeing them around, they are HUGE. Maybe I'll start naming them.

but i dont know what will happen when a gang of them walks into mine or any neighbors yard and get greeted by our pitbulls (the dogs are freindly but birds, squirrels, and cats are just natural enemys)

People, these petty sightings of 2 and 3 turkeys must stop! I saw a flock of 30 turkeys, twice, in the past week in Brookline near Larz Anderson park.

Obviously, somebody fed them after midnight. Bostonians are smarter.

My boyfriend and I live near Kenmore, and he saw a big turkey (solo, I believe) behind our building when he took the trash out this morning. This is all shaping up to be a much more intimidating version of The Birds.

Who let them out of the State House? Elected officials wasting time meandering around the neighborhoods. Disgraceful. Maybe we should elect a different bunch of turkeys this fall...
