Cambridge man charged with recent gunfire in the Port

Cambridge Police report an investigation into recent gunfire incidents led them to Dwayne Cassama, 22, of Newtowne Court, who was arrested yesterday.

Although police initially wanted him as a suspect in several recent gunfire cases, they say they also charged him for drug possession after finding 16 grams of cocaine, 11 grams of methamphetamine and three grams of heroin in his residence and car - in addition to two automatic handguns.

Cassama was formally charged with illegal possession of a firearm, second offense, possession of heroin with intent to distribute, second offense, trafficking cocaine, operating with a suspended license, failure to stop/yield and not having an inspection sticker.
