Downtown intersection to be shut tonight for some simulated gunfire for bank-heist thriller

This just in from inside BPD:

This evening a Hollywood production company, Wheelman PSC, LLC will be test firing prop weapons on Federal Street at Franklin St. We will arrive at 7:30pm and will be finished with in one hour. I will temporarily shut down traffic on Federal Street during the simulated gunfire. I will also make an "on air" announcement before we proceed. Please share this with the community partners in the financial district. Thank you

Titanium Cranium reports her apartment manager has forwarded a similar message.

Wheelman PSC is listed as the company behind Wheelman, a thriller involving the getaway driver in a failed bank heist who can't trust anyone - except, of course, his precocious 14-year-old daughter. But they weren't originally scheduled to start filming here until Sept. 12.

Now would be the time to commit a crime involving gunfire in the area. :) It's a joke please do not commit any crimes at any time in any area.

Why can't you write or direct a decent damn movie?

That's a few more hours than they gave with the howitzers.

The release says test firing. That along with the comment in the article saying they weren't starting filming until Sep 12 makes me think this Is just a test of acoustics and things.

Super shooty bank heist movie set in a gun free state and city where 99% of bank robberies are pulled off by a junkie with a trapperkeeper notepad and a Big pen.

I'm sure it will be so realistic the lead actor will drop their Rs and go to a Sox or Celtics game with stereotypical townie or southie buddies.

At least it isn't another "Boston" movie filmed in Vancouver or *gasp* New York City!

Let's not forget the forgettable "Ghostbusters" reboot, wherein New York City was played by Boston!
