East Boston stabbing victim identified as Gage Smith, 23

Boston Police report the man found suffering a fatal stab wound at 214 Paris St. on Wednesday was Gage Smith, 23, of East Boston.

They're saying...
...the killer or killers were engaged in some kind of illicit drug activity in the victim's neighborhood, and that Mr. Smith was fatally stabbed while confronting them.
If that's the case, I hope they are quickly caught, convicted, and sent away forever. And I hope they burn in hell. There's nothing more despicable than murdering someone trying to protect his or her neighbors or improve his or her community.
Rest in peace, Mr. Smith.
That address is well known to police
the people who hang out there used to live across from me, until they lost their home due to foreclosure. It was only a matter of time before something like this happened. If the deceased was an innocent bystander, it's all the more tragic.

They say Eastie is becoming the next gentrified neighborhood, hmmmm... It was never ever like this , the crime ,the murders, people buying crack at the crack of dawn.. This happened just yards of an elementary school , very disturbing and alarming .
East Boston is not a safe place to be, I'm sorry to say, and I have lived here for too long, it's too bad the neighborhood has turned for the worse.
