I think it's a shame a big chain like stop & shop treating the black neighborhood like this. I go there everyday just about and have told management about the rodent problem several times. the other stores around boston are not in this bad of shape. Peace!

Oh, please, make it so.

Lots of discussion on the Arlington facebook list this month about mice there, among other things ...

Have this issue.. as I said in the previous thread, they've gone down hill in terms of store up keep.

Upper management at Ahold is horrified, and i have a feeling they are going to do a top to bottom review of all their stores.

S&S has been having mice and rat problems since I came to Boston. I remember in the early 2000s when the Brookline location was cited for rodent activity. After that we would call the location the "Rat & Mouse".

S&S was lucky the mice weren't using leaf blowers or they would have been shut down.

The one where they moved the S&S into a completely new space and where they even tore down the Bradlees sign, i.e., no longer has those conditions, right?

But it's not the cleanest.

That one was a dump... Dirty, cramped, limited stock. Since they rebuilt it, it's not so bad. It's still small, but set up so it's less cramped and clean.
