Everett scrapyard catches fire

Fire in an Everett scrapyard

April 22, 2016

Cue Relish looks out a window in downtown Boston to see a fire in Everett.

Pete reports:

Sky in Medford grey from Everett scrap fire, air smells of burning plastic.

RL watched the smoke from Boston as well.

I am a passenger in a vehicle that just summited Belmont Hill on Rt. 2, going eastbound. My coworker and I could see all the smoke, and tell that it was not coming from the power plant stacks.

Guess where I went first to find out what was going on?

Happy Earth Day everyone!

bike through it to get home. I was kinda hoping that entire corner of Chelsea and Everett would burn to the ground.

You do NOT want that area to go up in flames.

Not to mention that power plant has one of the highest outputs in the region.

But it amazes me that we as a society are OK with that whole area being a blighted hell hole. I don't ACTUALLY want that whole LNG storage field to blow up, I just don't want it to exist anymore.

you just callously made a joke about literally hundreds, possibly thousands of people being incinerated to death in your own area

the world is a callous place and its easy to ignore things that are ugly for many people

Now that's exactly the kind of place for a Destination Casino!
