Health inspector shuts Back Bay Thai place
By adamg on Wed, 06/22/2016 - 11:52am
UPDATE: Chili Duck passed a re-inspection on July 11 and can re-open.
A Boston health inspector yesterday shut Chili Duck, 829 Boylston St., for a long list of violations, in particular, kitchen workers not washing their hands - in sinks that didn't have hot enough water - and not having a manager on duty, let alone one who can supervise workers to ensure they were washing their hands between tasks.
The restaurant can re-open after a re-inspection shows it's fixed all of the problems.

Place kinda went downhill
Place kinda went downhill about two years when the FOH staff quit all at once, apparently protesting new management. Shame. Used to be good.
Fruit flies
I used to go here often, and there'd consistently be a swarm of fruit flies hovering around my entree.
Other than that, food and service was always good.
Why
would you go back to a place often if there was a consistent swarm of fruit flies?
UGH
I took my mom to lunch there when she was visiting. This is sad.
