What a stupid question.

They deserve the six figure salary to qualify for the six figure pension!

The bit about being a notary reminds me of the line, "it's okay! i'm a limo driver!!"

Did everyone hear the candidates on The Scrum? One of them (I won't spoil who) was almost cartoonishly clueless. Really breathtaking.

All of them, when asked what they'd do, said "Technology!" They all think technology is very good and very important, and that they would do more of it, they would, with the technology. Absolutely. Technology.

If not I hear there's an 11 year old in NY who is very good with cyber, maybe they can bring him on as a consultant.

I cannot believe Steve Murphy claimed Norfolk had a better web site than suffolk, especially for mobile phones.

Norfolk's web site just tells you that you need to have java if you try to look at any records on your phone. With suffolk, you can at least eventually manage to get a pdf copy of any record.

If they just replaced all the hoops of pretending to "print" with a straight pdf download for every record, that would be great for usability.

Norfolk's Java Viewer is about the worst we could go to, crossing my fingers that Murphy doesn't get into office.

Adam, thank you for posting this, as I intend to cast my vote in favor of the candidate whose JP News submission I most agree with in addition to whatever research on the candidates I am able to find from other sources. Happy to still have the opportunity to vote for this position!

Both John Keith and Joe Donnelly were at the polling place on Saturday trying to drum up support from people waiting in line. It looked draining.

Around 4:15 (the polls opened at Noon) we passed Donnelly who was telling people, "I've never run for anything in my life." It was a moment of real honesty that made me feel for the guy and appreciate how much you have to give of yourself to run for office.

Ask them if they'll make sure a human answers the phone after 3:00 .

Isn't Doug Bennett of those horrible green signs running? I hate those freaking signs.

As a Democrat, then he lost in the primary, as usual. And as usual, he left some of his signs up for next year's campaign, whatever he'll be running for then.
