Inchoate NBC station in Boston snags WCVB anchor

News One reports Phil Lipof, anchor of WCVB's 5 p.m. newscast, is departing for the new station NBC is building atop NECN as it seeks to crush current NBC affiliate WHDH.

Cable subscribers maybe but anyone on broadcast is likely not going to see anything on NBC unless they come up with a local over-he-air frequency that people in ALL of Boston can get.

TV is becoming an elitist option.

Although I have a lot of sympathy for those who point out the increaed control that we give to economic elites - have you actually watched the crap that local TV stations have been putting out the past few years?
