Man charged with killing man, setting his apartment on fire in Dorchester last year

Boston Police report arresting Victor Arrington, 30, on murder and arson charges for the death of Richard Long in a Harvard Street apartment on March 31, 2015.

Firefighters who responded to a building fire in that building found Long's body; police determined the father of seven had been shot before the fire was set.

Arrington, arrested last night, faces arraignment today in Dorchester Municipal Court on charges of murder, armed assault with intent to murder and arson, police say.
