Part of Newbury Street blocked off when truck spills something

Bad truck on Newbury Street

Adam Castiglioni reports Newbury Street was shut to traffic between Hereford and Mass. Ave. at noontime, apparently to let crews clean up whatever this truck dumped or leaked on the road.

and there won't be a problem anymore, duh!

I actually almost had a winch on an old crane almost fail on me once. Faulty interlock preventing it from retracting and not exactly a good way to get at the problem way up there. Luckily it was up far enough that the crane could've maneuver out and lay down on the parking lot if necessary, but the operator was able to "bypass" the interlock and the day was saved.

I went to work past this area at 0930 and they already had lots of sand poured out on the road. It was trailed all the way down towards Cambridge down past the next two sets of lights.
When I went by there were 3 big trucks with large white plastic wrapped items on them, 1 or 2 per truck, two were on Mass ave in front of the station, the third was on Newbury St. Behind the crane.
