Parts of Jamaica Plain lose power on muggy day

UPDATE: Make that 1 a.m.

Power went out around lunchtime and now Eversource is hoping to get power back on by 5:15 p.m. An Eversource outage map shows more than 1,100 customers in Boston without power.

Just updated the post to reflect the latest estimate restoration time of, as Eversource says, "~1 a.m."

I went to the outage map to see what area was affected.... The outage map is the most useless thing I've ever seen.

Our power came back on around 3:30 this morning. At least it wasn't as hot last night as it has been.
